Morning shipmates – do any of you remember the late Great John Liscio – used to write for Barrons - credit market column – great guy – very knowledgeable. Anyway after he left Barrons he struck out on his own and started the Liscio report – I was one of his early subscribers – pretty hefty fee – something like $1,000.00 a year for 12 reports. But this guy was the best at forecasting the Unemployment figures which in the 80’s and 90’s was a major – major number. Still carries a lot of weight – but a bit less – as we have to watch geo-political events which are more dominant themes – wouldn’t you agree!!! Anyway his associates still put the report out and I would urge you to take a look – I’m sure they might give you a sample – and I have no idea what they charge – I had to let mine lapse many years ago due to my “Greek Austerity Plan” – which I’m still on. I think what they do is negotiate – but best check with them. The reason I bring this up is if anyone sees any value in these writings – would you mind writing a check – you pick the amount and note for what amount of time it – is. I know they did something like this at the Liscio report after John passed away back in 2001 – and I heard it worked fine. I think this is fair to ask – I figure it takes a few hours a day to put things together – some days as you know can be more helpful than others depending on your interest or need that day.
