I think the most important behind the scenes discussion involves what happens with cds and all parties to cds when (not if) a restructuring of Greek debt occurs. Again if I bought protection on a Greek sovereign bond – the seller better be hedged.
a Bloomberg article stated that European officials want to ban naked short selling of cds. So clearly there is a problem
